Hi, I'm Em
I'm not your typical travel writer.

I'm not here to bombard you with affiliate links. I won't tell you the top 5 budget backpacking destinations, which yoga retreat to try in India, or how to get to Machu Picchu. You'll figure it out.

I'm here to tell you stories. Hitchhike with me across Laos. Cry with me in the Australian outback. Dance with me at Indian weddings and Mexican costume contests. You don't even need your passport.

I started writing stories as a child, grappling with the heavy religious themes with which I was raised. At 22, I started traveling in an attempt to better understand the world around me. After all, I'd been homeschooled, sheltered, and taught that the world was evil. Instead I encountered so much beauty: beautiful places, people, ways of thinking.
I haven't stopped traveling since, though the scope of my travels has evolved with me. And I still write with those goddamn heavy religious themes.
